TROUBLED footie legend Paul Gascoigne has told how he once caught a scuba diver while on a fishing trip.
The ex-England ace, 51, said his hook got stuck in the frogman’s neck while angling in the sea.
Gazza, below, had been fishing off some rocks when he got a bite.
He said: “The rod was double bent.
I had it for about half an hour and I was like, this must be an unbelievable one.
“All of a sudden a guy come up, scuba diver, I’d caught him in the neck.
“He was like, ‘Alright Gazza help us’.
Sorry mate, I’ll just cut the line.
Bang.
I cut the line and went, ‘Go fish somewhere else’.
I caught a scuba diver.
It was the biggest one I caught — I think.”
Gazza, who took up fishing as a teenager, made the confession in an interview with the Angling Times.

He previously said footie pal David Seaman saved him after he fell in a river having downed sleeping pills and Bacardi Breezers.
Last week fans asked for refunds after saying Gazza arrived at a Gateshead event looking worse for wear.
He denied he was drunk.
